If asked my employers will say that I'm not the hardest working person on their team, that I'm often 5-15 minutes late to work, and sometimes I disregard the status quo.



Am I better of just not listing them as a reference on my next job application or should I just do it anyways?



And if it will be harder do you have any advice from personal experience on how to overcome this?

the above mentioned qualities in my work performance is true.  I really don't care.  I know I'm capable of doing better but what I'm concerned about is employers focusing too much on the fact that I made pissed off my previous employers.

I would say not to use them for a reference (put them down, but just don't check if use as reference) and if they ask of if there is another space - just let them know that you don't wish for your employeer to know your looking for other work!

It really depends on the who is hiring. Some people may not really care about recommendations and others might.



I recommend you finding a fall back. Somebody you can use in case they really need an extra reference.
