Im from texas....my friend wants me to move with her to Tennessee....IDK what to do, I want to go to experience something new, but am afraid to leave my family cause they are all here....I mentioned it to my mom she told me if I leave I need to take everything thats mine. I guess so she doesnt have to handle over it. My plan was to go back to school in August, but I cant get any financial help from FAFSA, so I was just going to move with her, but now Im not sure & have no clue what to do. My friend is dead set on me going with her cause she is going up there to wait for her husband to get home from Iraq in Jan. I dont want her to have to go up there with just her & her 5 month old son. GRRR!! Help pls.

I've lived in TN and it ain't a whole lot better than Texas. Same ol rednecks and bible thumpers listening to country music.
Stay with you mom, work full-time, and go to school part-time. I couldn't get a loan when i was young, so i got a full-time job, and took no more than 2 courses (6 credits) each semester, including 1 course (3 credits) in the summer or winter. It took me 8 years to graduate this way, but when i did graduate, i had ZERO dollars in student loan. Unlike my friends, i didn't have to worry about being in debt dresh out of college.
Trust me, your friend has a family so she doesn't care whether or not you move with her. She's just saying that so she doesn't have to be alone until her husband gets back.
You can afford to pay for 6 credits on your own each semester. It's not a big deal.

Huh? Your friend wants you to move and yet she is dead set against it? What are you talking about? Stay home--what will you do when the hubby comes home?
