I came across this little tidbit floating around the internet. I assume it's from the Bible... I could be wrong. I'd love it if someone could give me a deeper insight into what it means or is referring to.
Thanks so much!
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are you ways my ways." Isaiah 55:8

It is from the Bible and is God speaking of Himself. Considerably more than a tidbit.
He is declaring than man does not think and do things in the way that He does because He (God) is holy and man is not. He also declares:
"There is a way that seems right to man but in the end, leads to destruction"

This is indeed from the Bible...Isaiah chapter 55. It is a short chapter and well worth reading, no matter your outlook on scripture. If you do not own a Bible, which your question insinuates you do not, then go to "blueletterbible.com" and pick study tools and then type in Isaiah 55:1, and click on the arrow. It will bring up this chapter as well as all the commentaries, etc. for a thorough study.

Isaiah 55:6 Make search for the Lord while he is there, make prayer to him while he is near:
7 Let the sinner give up his way, and the evil-doer his purpose: and let him come back to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for there is full forgiveness with him. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, or your ways my ways, says the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
It is a warning that we should try to learn God's way of thinking. The Torah gives us invaluable clues as to the way the Almighty thinks.

And the rest of it is:
Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. :10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: :11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
If you don't know what it means , ask God.

Those words were written at the time when Israelites where captives of Babylon. Those words were declared by Jehovah through His prophet Isaiah. In the previouse verse (verse 7), Jehovah is inviting the Israelites to return to Jehovah. He promised that He will forgive in a large way. (read verse 7). Afterwards He declared the words in verse 8, stating His thoughts are higher. Jehovah is perfect, and his thoughts and ways are unreachably high. Even his mercy is on a level that we humans can never hope to attain. Consider: When we forgive a fellow human, it is a case of a sinner forgiving a sinner. We realize that sooner or later we will need to have some fellow human forgive us. (Matthew 6:12) But Jehovah, even though he never needs to be forgiven, forgives ?in a large way?! Truly, he is a God of great loving-kindness. And in his mercy, Jehovah opens the floodgates of the heavens, showering down blessings on those who return to him with all their hearts.?Malachi 3:10.
It also serves as a reminder for us that we know little as compared to our Creator. It moves us to be humble towards everyone, not considering ourselves superior or more knowledgeable than others.

The Holy Bible that I have says that to renew your mind means to forsake unrighteous thoughts and become righteous with all your thinking. By applying your hearts and minds to the scriptures with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, our hearts and mind become renewed and begin to think God's thought and to have the mind of Christ(Phil. 2:5). If you have been saved by grace, through faith(Eph. 2: , the Holy Spirit indwells you(1 Cor. 6:19,20). A person who thinks good thoughts cannot live a bad life.
